Re: Bowsies, . Graupner or?
Though I prefer the SailsEtc. bowsies, the Graupner ones seem lighter, so I am mostly using them on my boat.

Re: Bowsies, . Graupner or?
I'm with the Sailsetc group!I've found the small stainless ones (P/N 057c, I think)  to be great; very small, and no slippage once set. Had no problem............

Welcome to the UK Micro Magic Association

The Association has been established to help promote this superb little yacht and support all the enlightened sailors who have bought one.2.jpg

The Association is NOT just for the racers, it is for every Micro Magic sailor
Young or old, if you just like to jolly about, club-sail or race, on a pond, lake, canal or even on the sea and whether you are brand new to sailing or you are a weathered old seadog, if you have a Micro Magic, this is the place to be.

To register costs nothing, all you need to do is provide a name and a valid email address.
If you include your location you can be added to the members map, where you can view all the other Micro Magic sailors in your area and beyond.

p1000836_2.jpgIf you need advice or help with your Micro Magic, there is a very active forum where you can post up a question and usually within minutes you will recieve a reply.
Don't worry if you think the question might have been asked before, as unlike many websites we have answered the same questions a hundred times and never get bored sharing our collective Micro Magic experiences with others.

If you would like to read more about the background or history of the Micro Magic then please click on the links or look at the pages on the Micro Magic International website.winner.jpg

Clicking on any of the flags at the top of your screen will take you to the numerous other National sites that are increasing month by month.

Above all we wish you great fun with your Micro Magic.

Happy Sailing

What is a Micro Magic?
The Micro Magic is a small radio controlled sailing yacht, ellen_front.jpg
manufactured in Germany and based on the design of trans-Atlantic racing yachts.
Owing to the close, exciting racing coupled with the superb value for money, the Micro Magic has enjoyed an explosion of popularity in Germany, Holland, France, Spain and Switzerland and recently boats are being raced here in the UK, Canada and the USA.

With a typical on the water cost, including radio dwg3.gifequipment, of less than £150, the MM makes both a fantastic entry boat and a high-performance class racer, which as a direct result has led the Dutch Association to gain over 1800 members and run a very active and sucessful racing and Championship circuit...... Micro Micro Magics at the 2008 Dinghy Show

Micro Magics featured strongly at the largest Dinghy Show in the world held at Alexandra Palace in London in the first weekend in March.

Skandia Team GBR battle it out in the Model Boat Pool feature at the Dinghy Sailing Show.

(l-r) Paul Goodison (Laser class), Stevie Morrison and Ben Rhodes (49er), Ben Ainslie - double Olympic gold and silver medalist.

However, not just the current UK sailing stars had a taste of Micro Magic racing. Anybody who attended the show could take up the challenge.

Mike Weston, from Swanley Park, ran the pool all weekend and he reports that the boats were in constant use all weekend.

Not only was this a great way of showing people that the Micro Magic is a great boat, it was also a superb way of showing off to big boat sailors just how much fun Radio Control sailing can be.
